Neon Hunk was an American noise music duo from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, active from 2000 to 2004. The group consisted of a husband and wife performing under the pseudonyms Mothmaster and Mossmaster. Initially formed in the summer of 2000 as Abracadaver, they adopted the name Neon Hunk in 2001. Known for their distinctive sound characterized by sparse drum and synthesizer arrangements, Neon Hunk's music integrated elements of progressive rock, punk, avant-garde electronic noise, and free improvisation. The duo released their first album, Smarmymob, in 2003 under Load Records. They toured extensively throughout the United States and Canada between 2001 and 2003, performing with experimental acts such as Hair Police and Wolf Eyes. Their final live appearance was at the De Stijl Festival in Minneapolis in 2004. Following their disbandment in 2004, both members continued to produce music independently.
