Isabelle Vernet, born on October 7, 1966, in Vichy, France, is a French soprano opera singer. She studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris under Régine Crespin, earning first prizes in oratorio, opera, and art lyrique. Her international debut occurred at the Grand Théâtre de Genève as Métella in La Vie Parisienne. Vernet's career included notable titular roles such as Pénélope at the Opéra de Nantes (1990) and Alceste at the Opéra Bastille (1994). She performed extensively on global stages, including Amsterdam, Vienna, Chicago, and Buenos Aires, as well as collaborated with prominent soloists like Placido Domingo and Natalie Dessay under conductors such as Lorin Maazel and William Christie. Vernet's discography also included albums like Les Mélodies (1992) and Del Destino (2004). She has taught at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Marseille and conducted masterclasses in France and Korea.
