Moving Units, an American dance-punk band from Los Angeles, California, was formed in 2001 by Blake Miller, Johan Boegli, and Chris Hathwell. Their debut EP, Moving Units, was released on Three One G in 2002. The band's first full-length album, Dangerous Dreams, was released by Palm Pictures in 2004. Subsequent releases included Hexes for Exes (2007) on Metropolis Records, featuring the single "Pink Thoughts", and Neurotic Exotic (2013), also on Metropolis. In March 2012, Blake Miller left the band by mutual decision, leading to a brief dispute over the use of the band's name. The issue was resolved, allowing Miller to continue the project under the same moniker with new members.
