Expanding Man was an American rock group formed in Long Island, New York in 1987 and consisted of Aaron Lippert on vocals, Dave Wanamaker on guitar, Chris Hancock on drums and Peter Armata on bass. In 1992, the group relocated to Boston and added a second guitarist, Bill Guerra. Their first album Free T.V.s was released in 1994 on Criminal Records Inc. Expanding Man then signed with Sony and recorded their second album Head to the Ground, produced by Mike Denneen. Released on Columbia Records in August 1996, it featured the single "Download (I Will)", which reached number 22 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Tracks chart and was included on the soundtrack for the film The Cable Guy. The group dissolved in 2001 after leaving Polydor (U.S.). In 2010, their album Love and Disaster was released online following the return of the masters from Universal.
