You Shriek is an American darkwave, gothic rock, and industrial group formed in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1990 by vocalist and musician Raziel Panic. Initially performing as an electronic duo alongside programmer Jason Arnone, the pair released their debut cassette mini-album, Suicide Note, in 1991. In 1994, guitarist John Oleary and bassist Skot Kremen joined the group, releasing the EP Grim. The band signed with Mere Mortal Productions in 1996 to release their debut full-length studio album, Burn Something Dear. Following Arnone's departure, Panic, Oleary, and Kremen continued as a trio, performing at Boston venue Manray. The band self-produced their second studio album, Unreal Cities, in 2004. After an aborted record deal with Invisible Records in 2006, the group produced the video podcast Spies On Zero Zero Island before releasing their third studio album, Somewhere Between (Heaven & Sorrow), in 2011, which featured tracks integrated into the Rock Band Network for Xbox 360.
