Born in Rio de Janeiro and raised on the outskirts of the city, in Sao João de Meriti, Negro Elmo is a singer and composer in many ways. A fan of various rhythms and musical genres, he never stops when he decides to express what comes to his mind and heart. Although he found in Rock the way that best conveys his ideas, desires and personality like on Genocida, it is possible that the public will hear all this in other aspects as well like his 1st release solo Far Away From Home. It was in his city, in the region of the known Baixada Fluminense, that the search for the underground scene took place at the end of the 90s. such as ROADS, Um a Um, Baixada Super Oito, among others. Today, Negro Elmo presents in a solo career, his musical influence of several years through a sound that mixes Rock, Jazz, Folk and MPB.
