Seven Steps to the Green Door, a German rock band, was founded in 2004. The initial lineup included drummer Ulf Reinhardt, bassist Heiko Rehm, keyboardist and saxophonist Marek Arnold, singer Lars Köhler, and guitarist Andreas Gemeinhardt. In 2005, the band began recording their own songs and added vocalist Ronny Gruber and Anne Trautmann to the lineup. Their debut album The Puzzle was released in 2006 on F.-act-Records, winning the German Rock and Pop Award in two categories: Progressive and Experimental. In 2011, they produced the concept album The ? Book, which critically examined faith and self-discovery. The band toured extensively, performing at festivals like Night of the Prog and Summers End. Their fifth album, The ? Lie, was released in 2019, marking the second part of their concept trilogy. In 2024, they completed the trilogy with The?Truth.
