Elise & The Sugarsweets is a Paris-based Rhythm & Blues band blending blues roots, soul and groove into a sound that feels both timeless and alive. Guitars, piano and organ set an organic foundation, with guitar lines inspired by the great Blues Kings - Freddy, Albert and В.В. - without ever losing a modern pulse.
At the heart of the band is the soulful, expressive voice of Yulia, shaped by British soul influences like Amy Winehouse and Joss Stone, as well as by the deep emotional legacy of Etta James, Aretha Franklin and Nina Simone.
Drawing freely from traditional blues, contemporary soul and funk energy, especially since the arrival in 2025 of their bassist, leader of the funk project The Big Hustle, the band creates warm, groove-driven music made for the stage. A new album is currently in the works.
