Top Authority is an American hip hop trio composed of rappers Dia “Shotgun” Peacock and Diallo “Flex” Peacock, joined by producer David “DaLo” Hornaday. The trio first gained attention with the single "93 (Things Ain’t How They Should Be)" from their debut album Somethin’ To Blaze To released in 1993 under TRAK Records. In 1995 they followed with Rated G, which peaked at number 144 on the Billboard 200 and featured DJ Aladdin scratches. Their 1997 release Top Authority Uncut reached number 192 on the Billboard 200 and produced the single "World War III", which entered the Billboard Hot Rap Songs chart at number 37. After a decade-long hiatus, they returned with Kush Music in 2009, collaborating with MC Breed and Do or Die.
