Halid Muslimović, born in Prijedor, Bosnia and Herzegovina, on January 21, 1961, is a Bosnian pop-folk singer who is considered one of the best-selling folk artists in the former Yugoslavia and a pioneer of the turbo-folk genre. He launched his professional recording career in 1982 with the gold-certified debut studio album, Amela, Ti i Ja, followed by the platinum-certified Stoj jarane in 1983. His 1984 release, Hej ljubavi, u dalekom gradu, achieved double-diamond certification, while his 1985 album, Putuj, putuj srećo moja, sold over eight hundred thousand copies, making it the third best-selling album in the history of the former Yugoslavia at the time. His extensive discography also includes the diamond-certified Piši, piši jarane in 1986, followed by Idi druže, laku noć in 1987, Vrati se, dok mladosti ima in 1988, Opsesija in 2004, Greška Najmilija in 2008, and Adrenalin in 2013. He resides with his wife Adelisa and their two children, Enis and Lejla.
