Mercy Drive, an American hard rock band from Central Florida, formed in 2000 with drummer Corey Lane, guitarist Jake Beard, and vocalist‑guitarist Jimmy McGlothlin, all of whom had previously performed with the band Big Mother Thruster. The group gained early exposure through WWE and MTV when four of their tracks were featured on the reality series Tough Enough in 2001, and "Tattoo" became the entrance theme for wrestler Maven Huffman. After rebranding as Mercy Drive, the trio recorded a self‑titled album with producer Rick Beato; the project was never released by Maverick Records and was sold only through the band’s website. In 2004, Mercy Drive’s "Burn in My Light" was adopted by Randy Orton as his entrance music and appeared on WWE’s Wreckless Intent compilation.
