André Sardet is a Portuguese pop singer. Born on January 8, 1976, in Coimbra, Portugal, he played in a local band as a teenager before composing and performing his own songs. In 1996, he released his debut album, Imagens, which featured the hit single “O Azul do Céu” that reached the top 10 of the Portuguese sales charts. His subsequent albums achieved increasing commercial success, notably André Sardet (2002), which featured guest appearances by Rui Veloso, Luís Represas, and Mafalda Veiga. In 2006, his live acoustic album, Acústico, topped the Portuguese charts for 12 weeks. He lowered the energy consumption of his concerts by a third during his ECO TOUR 2008, and released the eco-friendly album Mundo de Cartão (2008), which peaked at number 2. His album Pára, escuta e olha (2011) reached Number 1 on the charts.
