Akinyele, born Akinyele Adams on September 14, 1970, in Queens, New York, is an American rap singer who emerged in the early 1990s under the influence of the group 2 Live Crew. He participated in the Live at the Barbeque tour of Main Source in 1991, performing alongside Nas, Joe Fatal, and Large Professor, and signed with Interscope Records. His debut studio album, Vagina Diner, was released in 1993, peaking at number 83 on the R&B Albums chart. His single “Bomb” was released in 1994 and reached the top 50. In 1996, he signed with Zoo Records and released the EP Put It in Your Mouth, featuring the hit single of the same name. His second studio album, Aktapuss, was released on October 26, 1999, reaching number 33 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart. He released his third studio album, Anakonda, on July 10, 2001, and in 2004 issued the compilation album Live at the Barbecue: Unreleased Hits.
