Tobias Albrecht, known professionally as Rocko Schamoni, was born on 8 May 1966 in Kiel, Germany, and is a singer, writer, and actor. After playing with the punk‑influenced band Warhead, Rocko Schamoni released his debut album Disco on Polydor in 1991. He signed with Trikont and released Showtime in 1992, helping to establish his presence in the German rock scene. Subsequent albums Risiko Des Ruhms (2003), Rocko Schamoni & Little Machine (2007), and Sternstunden Der Bedeutungslosigkeit (2008) expanded his catalogue, while collaborations with artists like Schorsch Kamerun and DJ Cumpadre ES and participation in tours with Goldene Zitronen and Die Toten Hosen broadened his audience. The 2019 album Musik Für Jugendliche reached number 54 on the German album charts.
