Antônio Vicente Filipe Celestino was a Brazillian singer born on September 12, 1894 in Rio de Janeiro. He discovered his musical talent at age 11, performing in local clubs and signed with Casa Edison, where he recorded the popular waltz "Flor do Mal". In 1919, he joined operettas such as Amor de Bandido and later helped in staging operas such as Tosca and Aida. After moving to Odeon and Columbia, he signed with RCA Victor in 1935, earning a fixed salary and recording Brazil's national anthem. He died on August 23, 1968.
