Nekromantheon, a Norwegian thrash metal band from Kolbotn, Norway, formed in 2005 by guitarist Arild "Arse" Myren Torp and drummer Christian "Kick" Holm. The name, derived from a temple in Greece, translates to "Temple of the Dead". They released the initial EP We're Rotting in 2007, which featured bassist Sindre Solem and vocalist Glenn "Biffen" Iversen. After Iversen's departure in 2008, Torp took over vocal duties. They released the debut album Divinity of Death in 2010 via High Roller Records, featuring guest musician Carl-Michael Eide. This led to performances at the Maryland Death Fest and Live Evil Festival in London. They released the second album Rise, Vulcan Spectre (2012) via Indie Recordings, which won the Spellemannprisen award for Metal. Their discography includes notable releases such as Visions of Trismegistos (2021).
