Birth of Joy was a Dutch psychedelic rock band from Utrecht, formed in 2005. They signed with Suburban Records, and their debut album Make Things Happen was self-released in 2010 and reissued in 2011, followed by Life in Babalou (2012), the compilation The Sound of Birth of Joy (2013), Prisoner (2014), Live at Ubu (2015), Get Well (2016), and Hyper Focus (2018). They gained international recognition through festivals like Rencontres Trans Musicales in France, as well as television appearances on Rockpalast in Germany. They separated in 2018.
