Lars Klevstrand, born on September 30, 1949, in Drammen, Norway, is a Norwegian singer, guitarist, composer, and actor. He grew up in Bærum and debuted with the album Vi skal ikkje sova in 1968, followed by the 1970 songbook Gjøglerhåndbok. Throughout the 1970s, he released På stengrunn (1973) with Lillebjørn Nilsen and others, Riv ned Gjerdene! (1976) and Høysang (1978). In 1983, his album Viser til Mariann earned the Spellemannprisen in the folk category. Klevstrand performed in cabaret and musical productions at Det Norske Teatret, Nationaltheatret, Chateau Neuf, Oslo Nye Teater and Sogn og Fjordane Teater, and received the Målblomen in 1970, Gammleng-prisen in 1987 and Prøysenprisen in 1991. He was a member of the board of Norges Kunstnerråd from 1993 to 1995, and a board member of the Nordic House in the Faroe Islands from 1995 to 2000.
