Knut Magne Myrland, known professionally as K. M. Myrland, was a Norwegian singer, guitarist, and songwriter. Born March 23, 1948, in Harstad, Norway, he worked as a sailor before injuries sustained in an accident prompted him to pursue a music career. He released his debut album, Isbål, in 1976. His subsequent solo releases included Gjengrodd sti (1977) and 78° nord (1978). In 1978, his album Morild introduced the singer Randi Hansen, who subsequently established her own solo music career. Myrland collaborated with Jonas Fjeld and his band on the albums In From The Cold (1979) and Myrland (1980). His later releases included the solo albums Ækte (1982) and Fann æ (1983), and the compilation album Vante folk (1997). He resided in Bodø for many years before his death on April 24, 2021, at the age of 73.
