Arven was a German symphonic metal band founded in 2006 by guitarist Anastasia Schmidt. Based in Frankfurt, the group initially included keyboard player Lena Yatsula, guitarist Ines Thomé, and vocalist Carina Hanselmann. Arven released their debut demo in 2008 and signed with Massacre Records in 2011, releasing their first studio album, Music of Light. Their second album, Black is the Colour, followed in 2013. Despite musical achievements, including collaborations with Stefan Schmidt on "The One for Me", Arven disbanded in 2015 due to internal differences.
