American rock group, Faith Band, from Indianapolis, Indiana, formed in 1973. The group initially gained traction in their hometown with the release of "Dancin' Shoes" in 1978, which became a local hit and later peaked at number 54 on the Billboard Hot 100. This success was followed by a version recorded by Nigel Olsson that same year, becoming a Top 20 hit. Between 1973 and 1979, Faith Band released five albums: Faith (1973), Excuse Me, I Just Cut an Album (1977), Rock'n Romance (1978), Face to Face (1979), and Vital Signs (1979). Their second single "You're My Weakness" reached number 76 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1979. After disbanding in 1979, several members pursued solo careers or joined other bands. John Cascella, who played keyboards and saxophone for Faith Band, later joined John Mellencamp's band until his death in 1992 at the age of 45. Carl Storie and Mark Cawley formed Blinding Tears in 1985, releasing a self-titled album on Riva Records in 1986. Dave Bennett released a solo album Out of the Bleu in 2004. In 2010 they released an internet-only release titled Faith Band Legacy.
