Stuart Cullen, born December 14, 1970, is a British electronic musician who first emerged under the alias Pilote. Under this moniker, Cullen released the single “The Myth” (1998) and the EP Mudah Pecah EP (2008), establishing a presence in the intelligent dance music and ambient scenes. Pilote's debut album Antenna (1999) was followed by Doitnowman (2001), Kingfood (2002), and Pop Will Make Us Free (2007). The track “Turtle” from Antenna was remixed by Bonobo and featured in an advertising campaign for the phone company One2One. After a shift toward folk and bluegrass in the mid-2010s, Cullen retired the Pilote moniker in 2016. In 2020, the musician began releasing music as VeldHans alongside Jonathan Brown.
