Brise-Glace was a 1990s instrumental avant-rock supergroup from Chicago, Illinois, formed in 1993. The band consisted of Jim O'Rourke on guitar, organ, tape, and "razor blade", Darin Gray on bass guitar, Dylan Posa on guitar, and Thymme Jones on drums. Their debut album, When in Vanitas..., was released in 1994, engineered by Steve Albini. The group's unique sound featured guitar improvisation, white noise, and found sounds. In 1994, they released a 7" single titled "In Sisters All and Felony / Angels on Installment Plan", and in 1995, their cover of "Angus Dei Aus Licht" appeared on the AC/DC tribute series Sides 1-4. Brise-Glace toured sporadically until 1997.
