Whirr, an American shoegaze band from Modesto, California, was formed in 2010 and consisted of vocalist and guitarist Loren Rivera, guitarists Nick Bassett and Joseph Bautista, bassist Eddie Salgado, and drummer Devin Nunes. Originally known as Whirl, the band had to legally change its name after a trademark dispute. Whirr self-released their demo cassette and Distressor EP before signing with Tee Pee Records in 2011. Their debut album, Pipe Dreams, was released in 2012 and received positive critical reception. The band's subsequent releases included the Around EP (2013) and their second studio album, Sway (2014). Whirr also collaborated with other bands, including Nothing and Anne. In 2019, they released their third studio album, Feels Like You, followed by the live album Live in Los Angeles in 2023. Their fourth studio album, Raw Blue, was released in 2024.
