Eduardo Martins Dorneles, known as Edu K, was born on November 8, 1969, in Porto Alegre, Brazil. He began his career in the 1980s with bands like DeFalla, which released five albums between 1988 and 1992. The group performed at the Hollywood Rock festival in 1993. Edu K left the band and started a solo career, releasing his debut album Meu Nome é Edu K in 1995 and Frenetiko in 2006. He toured internationally and created remixes for artists like Don Omar and Gotan Project. Notable singles include "Popozuda Rock'n'Roll" and "Gatas, Gatas, Gatas", featured in advertisements for Sony Ericsson and Coca-Cola. In 2013, Edu K released the single Do The Brega!.
