Alton Miller, born May 18, 1966, in Detroit, Michigan, is an American music producer. His interest in electronic music grew in the mid-1980s as he made frequent trips between Chicago and Detroit alongside techno pioneer Derrick May. In 1988, Miller co-founded the Music Institute in Detroit with Chez Damier and George Baker. After the club closed in 1989, Miller moved to Toronto, where he hosted a radio show before returning to Detroit in 1991. He started producing music for Kevin Saunderson's KMS label and later worked with Transmat Records. Miller released his debut album Rhythm Exposed in 2000 and followed it with several EPs and albums, including Stories from Bohemia (2003) and Souls Like Mine (2007). He has collaborated with various artists and played in clubs worldwide. In 2015, Miller reintroduced his label InnerMuse Recordings to distribute his productions more freely.
