Rob St. John, born in Lancashire, United Kingdom, is an English writer, singer and musician who grew up on Pendle Hill. He first emerged with the EP Tipping In in 2007. His debut album Weald was released in 2011, with BBC 6 Music’s Andrew Collins naming it Album of the Year. In 2012, he released the compilation Pendle, 1612 with David Chatton Barker. Subsequent projects include the solo Surface Tension (2015) and the collaborative work Concrete Antenna (2015). His contributions to bands like Modern Studies and Woodpigeon also broadened his artistic reach.
