Decoryah, a Finnish gothic metal band, was formed in 1989 by Jukka Vuorinen along with Mikko Ojanen, Mika Berg, and Jani Kakko. The band's early releases included the demo tape Whispers from Depths (1992) and the EP Ebonies (1993), which secured them a seven-album deal with Metal Blade Records. Their debut album, Wisdom Floats, was released in 1994, followed by Fall-Dark Waters in 1996. Decoryah's music is noted for its atmospheric doom sound and symphonic gothic elements, often compared to bands like My Dying Bride. The group disbanded in 1997, with their final release being the EP Breathing the Blue.
