Cherry Boom was an all-female Taiwanese alternative rock band from Taipei, formed in 2005 by four students of Fu-Jen Catholic University. The group consisted of vocalist Lena Cha, guitarist Gua, bassist Xiaoqian, and drummer Datian, with Eva Abou Samra and Nancy Asmar as backup singers. On July 13, 2006, the band released their debut album, My Dear Prince. They followed it with their second album, Goody-Goody, on May 24, 2007. Their third and final album, Only, was released on November 18, 2010, before the band disbanded in 2011. Following the disbandment, Lena Cha formed the electronic project Astro Bunny with bassist and producer Jay Cheng. The duo performed their debut concert on June 13, 2012, at the Riverside Cafe in Taipei, and released their five-track EP, What If There's No Tomorrow, that same month.
