Wings of the Isang (이상의날개) is a South Korean post-rock band known for their introspective soundscapes and literary influences. Formed in 2011, the band currently consists of Moon Jeongmin, Lee Choonghoon, Kim Taebong, and Jeon Minkyoo. Initially started as the duo Detuned Radio, they expanded and adopted their current name, inspired by friends’ references to Yi Sang's novel The Wings. Their debut EP Lost (2011) and The Story of You and Me (2013) garnered attention in Korea’s indie scene, with the band being named Hello Rookie of the Month by The EBS space in 2014. In 2016, they released their acclaimed first studio album Stream of Consciousness (의식의흐름), which earned the Best Modern Rock Album award at the Korean Music Awards and a nomination for Album of the Year. The band further explored literary themes in 2017 with the single "No Longer Human (인간실격)", inspired by Osamu Dazai’s novel of the same name. Their second album, The Borderline Between Hope and Despair (희망과 절망의 경계) (2021), continued to receive critical praise, securing another Best Modern Rock Album win in 2022.
