Ich Kann Fliegen is a German rock group formed in 2006 in Hannover by Nikolas (vocals, electric guitar), Paul (electric guitar, vocals), Niklas (bass) and Bill (drums). The quartet first released the EP Achtung Traumwelt in 2010, establishing a local following. Their debut album Ich Kann Fliegen followed on 14 September 2012 under Universal Music and peaked at number 59 on the German charts, featuring singles such as "Abenteuer" and "Mich kann nur Liebe retten". In September 2012 the band represented Lower Saxony at the Bundesvision Song Contest, finishing third behind XAVAS and Laing; the contest entry was written by Annette Humpe. Subsequent releases include the 2020 EP Lang nichts mehr gehört and the album Alles flimmert, which was financed through a successful crowdfunding campaign. The group has toured with acts such as White Lies, Nena, Jennifer Rostock, Sportfreunde Stiller and Silbermond and has maintained a presence in the German indie‑rock scene with a sound influenced by Jimmy Eat World.
