Timid Tiger, a German indie electro/hip-hop group from Cologne, was formed in 2002 by songwriters Keshav Purushotham and Christian Voss, who met in the summer of that year and began writing acoustic songs together. In 2004, they released their EP The Electric Treasure Box, followed by their single "Miss Murray" in 2005, which gained radio airplay and was included in a Spex magazine bonus CD. In 2005 the band issued the EP Loveboat and the studio album Timid Tiger & A Pile Of Pipers. The album The Electric Island was released under Columbia Berlin in 2010. The group produced "Ina Meena Dika (It's Happening Now)" in 2010 and later "The Sun Goes Down, The Streets are Black" on their own Papercup Records in 2012.
