Bliksem was a Belgian thrash metal band from Antwerp active between 2007 and 2017. The ensemble was founded by guitarists Jeroen de Vries and Toon Huet and bassist Jan Rammeloo and eventually included vocalist Peggy Meeussen and drummer Rob Martin. The group released its eponymous debut EP, Bliksem, in 2010. During its career, the ensemble performed as a support act for the bands Channel Zero, Prong and Angel Witch. After signing with the label Alone Records, the group issued its debut studio album, Face the Evil, in 2013. The record was mastered by Herbrand Larsen. Their subsequent recording history included the studio recording Gruesome Masterpiece (2015). The ensemble performed at festivals including Wacken Open Air and Summer Breeze before disbanding in 2017. Following the group's dissolution, Rammeloo joined the band Diablo Blvd.
