Bielefeld Children's Choir was a nationally renowned children's choir from Bielefeld, Germany, founded in 1932 by Friedrich Oberschelp. His son, Jürgen Oberschelp, took over leadership in the 1960s and continued directing the choir until its dissolution. The choir admitted children from around age 10 and was known for its annual Christmas concerts at the Rudolf-Oetker-Halle in Bielefeld, with the final concerts of this tradition held in 2013. It toured extensively across Europe, Asia, and the United States, with a repertoire focused on traditional folk songs within contemporary choral music. The choir continued its activities into the 2010s, although no public performances are known after 2016. The decision to disband was made in 2019, with the dissolution completed in 2022.
