Anthony Smith, raised in eastern Tennessee, is an American singer-songwriter and record producer known for his contributions to country music. His musical journey began at age five, and by nine, he joined his first band. In his early twenties, Smith moved to Kentucky and joined several bands before being signed to Mercury Nashville Records after the label received a demo tape. His debut album, If That Ain't Country (2002), was released, producing three top 40 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Notable songs include "If That Ain't Country" (2002) and collaborations with artists such as George Strait, Tim McGraw, Rascal Flatts, Trace Adkins, and Faith Hill. After leaving Mercury Nashville, he wrote hits for other artists, including "Cowboys Like Us" by George Strait and "Kristofferson" by Tim McGraw. Another notable release is the single "Bringin' Back the Sunshine" (2009).
