William Vaesen, also known as Niels William, born on November 20, 1974, in Belgium, is a Belgian singer, manager, and owner of an artist agency in Ghent. As a teenager, he performed under the pseudonym Danny De Munck and released several singles independently. His breakthrough came when he studied at the Showbizzschool in Oostende, where his teacher Frank Dingenen discovered him. Together, they recorded "Dat goed gevoel" in 1991, which topped the Belgian charts. Niels William won the best new artist award at the "Radio 2 Zomerhit" festival in 1992 and released his debut album Op zoek that year. He followed it with Bij nader inzien in 1994, and the hit single "Zie ze doen" (1995), a cover of Tarkan's "Şıkıdım". Niels William later transitioned into radio hosting and management, notably founding the band K3.
