Déanta is an Irish traditional music band from County Antrim, Northern Ireland, formed in the late 1980s. Their name is the Irish word for "done" or "made". They initially comprised members of the Irish traditional music scene in Ireland. In 1990 and 1991, they represented Ireland at the Lorient Interceltic Festival in Brittany, winning the Trophée Loïc Raison for best band in 1990. They signed to Green Linnet and released their debut album Déanta (1993), followed by Ready for the Storm (1994) and Whisper of a Secret (1997). Their lineup included Mairead Walls (later replaced by Mary Dillon), Paul Mullan (later replaced by Deirdre Havlin), Eoghan O'Brien, Kate O'Brien, Clodagh Warnock, and Rosie Mulholland. They played until 1997, then regrouped in 2008, performing for BBC Two Northern Ireland's Blas Ceoil series.
