Wide Mouth Mason is a Canadian blues-based rock band, consisting of Shaun Verreault (lead vocals, guitar), and Safwan Javed (percussion, backing vocals). The group’s re-recordings of their first independent release, The Nazarene (1996), attracted Warner Music Canada, which signed them and produced their album Wide Mouth Mason (1997). The album yielded the singles "Midnight Rain", "My Old Self", and "This Mourning", and achieved Gold status in Canada, and the band earned a Juno nomination for Best New Group in 1998. Subsequent releases included Where I Started (1999), Stew (2000), Rained Out Parade (2002), Shot Down Satellites (2005), No Bad Days (2011), I Wanna Go with You (2019), and Late Night Walking (2023). The band toured extensively, opening for AC/DC in 2001 and supporting ZZ Top in 2010.
