Foto Na Dans, an Afrikaans progressive rock band from Bellville, South Africa, was formed in 2006. The group consisted of Le-Roi Nel (vocals, guitar), Neil Basson (lead guitar, vocals), John Havemann (bass), Alex Fourie (trumpet, keyboard), and Dirkie Uys (drums). Prior to Foto Na Dans, all members except Nel were part of Trompie Is Dood. The band's debut EP Foto Na Dans was released in January 2007, followed by their first studio album Intervensie in September 2007. Their second studio album, Pantomime op Herwinbare Klanke, was released in 2008, and their third studio album, Die Vloed, was released in 2010. Foto Na Dans won Best Group at the 2008 MK Awards. In January 2012, the band announced an indefinite hiatus.
