The Sundance Kids were formed in 2006 in Adelaide, South Australia, by vocalist and guitarist Ash Gale, guitarists Jason Shepherd and Luke Zecchin, bassist and vocalist Jeremy Wright, and drummer Suresh Meyer. The group evolved from an acoustic trio to a full quintet, and released the extended play Including the Atmosphere in 2007, marking their first commercial appearance. In 2009 the band signed with Warner Music Australia and released the single "Solutions", which peaked at number 48 on the ARIA Singles Chart, followed by "Drive Away" in June. Their debut studio album Fall into Place was issued on 4 September 2009 and entered the ARIA Albums Chart at number 50. The album was supported by national tours, including support slots with Evermore and The All‑American Rejects, and a series of performances across Adelaide. In December 2012 the group performed a farewell concert, signalling the end of the band. Lead singer Ash Gale pursued a solo career, releasing three EPs-Roll With The Gold, Brave The Sea, and Whatever The Ending-and achieving airplay on European, African, and Middle Eastern television. The band reunited in 2018 for the Handpicked Festival and performed at the 2018 “Good Things Festival” in Adelaide, and supported The Veronicas in January 2019.
