Liars Academy is a rock band from Baltimore, Maryland, formed in 2001. The group initially consisted of Ryan Shelkett and Matt Smith, who recruited Evan Tanner on drums. Their debut album, No News Is Good News, was released in 2001. Following this, Chris Camden joined as a full-time member, leading to the release of the EP Trading My Life in 2002 and the album Demons in 2004. The band faced setbacks when their equipment was stolen, but a donation from the Music Cares foundation allowed them to continue touring. In May 2005, Liars Academy disbanded, with members going on to form Midnight Revival and other projects. Eric Fauver, who joined as drummer in 2004, passed away in June 2015. The band reunited briefly in December 2012 for a one-off show. In 2023, they released the album Ghosts through Steadfast Records.
