Compositor malagueño afincado en Fuerteventura
Miguel Pérez (Málaga, 1976) had his first encounter with music in the Youth Band of Music at Miraflores and Gibraljaire Schools in Málaga, where he dedicated his early compositions. Later, he graduated from the Superior Conservatory of Music in Málaga, obtaining degrees in Music Theory, Transposition, Accompaniment, and a Superior degree in Tuba.
Since 1990, he has been composing in various formats, publishing and premiering his music worldwide, writing for radio, television, film, and all kinds of performances. In 1999, he released his first album, “Deus Meus,” with the Miguel Pérez Consort, followed by many others, with a special focus on his favorite instrument, the piano.
Based in the Canary Islands since 2007, after more than thirty years dedicated to composition and personal musical performance, he now exclusively devotes his time to teaching as the Head of the Music Department at IES Santo Tomás de Aquino on the island of Fuerteventura. In his free time, he continues to compose music, which he shares with his followers on Spotify and other music platforms online.
