A Hero A Fake was an American metalcore band from Charlotte, North Carolina. Formed in 2004 by Eric Morgan, Justin Brown, and Lenin Hernandez, they released their first demo, AHAF Demo 2005, in 2005. Their debut EP, Friends Are Family, followed in the same year. The band's first full-length album, Volatile, was released in 2008 via Victory Records. Their second album, Let Oceans Lie, came out in 2010 and received critical acclaim. Notable singles include their cover of "Looking Up" by Paramore (2010) and "Dead And Done / A Simple Drive Through the Lake" (2012). Their album, The Future Again, was released in 2012. A Hero A Fake disbanded in 2013.
