Noël Deschamps, born on June 22, 1942, in Villefranche-sur-Saône, France, was a French singer known for his contributions to rock music. Discovered at the Golf Drouot, a famous venue for rock 'n' roll in France, Noël Deschamps signed with RCA Victor and began his career in 1964. His early releases included singles like "Ce n'est jamais assez" and "Te voilà (She’s Not There)". In 1967, he released his self-titled debut album Noël Deschamps, which featured notable tracks such as "Oh la hey", co-written with Alain Bashung. Noël Deschamps' career saw a hiatus from 1969 to the early 1970s, during which he released several singles without significant success. He performed in tribute concerts to the 1960s music scene and appeared on notable events like the "photo du siècle," featuring 46 French yéyé stars in April 1966. Noël Deschamps returned to recording with Retour aux Sources in 2023, an album containing 14 new tracks. Noël Deschamps died in Châteauroux, on June 21, 2026, at the age of 83.
