A La Via! is a German historical music band formed in 1997 in the Rheinland region. The group, consisting of six musicians, was founded with a focus on medieval and Renaissance music. Their name, A La Via, translated from Old Provençal to mean “on the way” or “out of the way!” In 2001, A La Via! released their debut album A La Via! through Emmuty Records, produced by Roland Kempen of Die Streuner. The band became known for performing at medieval markets, historical festivals, and banquets, utilizing a variety of historical instruments including bagpipes and drums. They have also contributed to numerous compilations, such as "Janoscha" on Miroque Vol. VII (2001) and "Ay Linda Amiga" on Miroque Romantisches Mittelalter (2006). Additionally, A La Via! collaborated with Annwn and Die Streuner on the medieval rock band Malleus, releasing a maxi-CD in 2002.
