Formed in Rouen in 1998, Café Zimmermann is one of today's most prestigious chamber music ensembles. Its six musicians, including founders Pablo Valetti (violin) and Céline Frisch (harpsichord), play on period instruments contemporary with the works they perform. Their mainly Baroque repertoire includes J. S. Bach's Goldberg Variations, acclaimed in 2001, and works by Charles Avison and Jean-Henry d'Anglebert. Café Zimmermann is also known for his Concerts avec Plusieurs Instruments series, published in six volumes from 2001 to 2011.
