Eldkvarn is a Swedish rock band formed in 1971 in Norrköping. The group was founded by Plura Jonsson, Carla Jonsson and Tony Thorén and originally performed under the name Piska mig hårt. After relocating to Stockholm, the ensemble was recorded for the radio program Tonkraft in 1974, which led to a deal with the label MNW. The band released its debut studio album, Elisabet, in 1974 and officially changed its name to Eldkvarn in 1976. The group's lineup evolved during its career to include members such as Werner Modiggård and Claes von Heijne. The ensemble achieved success in Sweden and other Nordic countries with albums including Musik för miljonärer (1980), Tuff lust (1983) and Utanför lagen (1986). Their recording history also featured the successful singles “Konfettiregn” (2005) and “Fulla för kärlekens skull” (2007). The band announced a farewell tour for 2024 titled Det är aldrig försent att lägga av.
