María Carrasco Jiménez, born on July 15, 1995, in Torrecera, Jerez de la Frontera, Cádiz, Spain, is a Spanish singer, songwriter, and musician. She began her career by winning the first prize at the TVE contest Veo, veo in 2004, where she performed colombianas. The following year, María was invited to participate in Canal Sur Televisión's Menuda Noche. Her television appearances led to extensive touring across Spain. In 2007, María released her debut album, Hablando con la luna, which featured traditional Andalusian styles and her first single "Abuelo". The album achieved significant success, earning a Gold Disc for selling over 40,000 copies within three months. Subsequent albums include Soñando Despierta (2007), Entre Tú y Yo (2009) and Misterios De Mi Alma (2014). The latter was supported by an 85-concert tour in 2015-2016. María's sixth album, El Vuelo, was released in April 2019 under her own label WaxTower.
