Psallentes is a Gregorian chant ensemble based in Leuven, Belgium, founded in 2000. Under the direction of Hendrik Vanden Abeele, the group includes singers Conor Biggs, Lieven Deroo, Pieter Coene, Paul Schils, and Philippe Souvagie. The ensemble developed a longstanding association with early music ensembles Capilla Flamenca and Millenarium, with whom its members made several recordings. The repertoire of the group focused on Late Medieval and Renaissance plainsong and related polyphony, utilizing original manuscripts. In 2007, Vanden Abeele founded Psallentes Feminae, an all-female counterpart to the ensemble. Its recordings include the albums Pierre de la Rue: Missa de septem doloribus (2002), Carmina Burana - Officium Lusorum (2006), and Llibre Vermell (2007).
