Hi, I am just released new work Centuries for sitar, cello, violin and clarinet. Listen something realy special.
Pavel Szabo is a musician and composer based in the Czech Republic. He is continually approaching the creation of music with an overtone of calming, minimal and peaceful sounds. Each piano miniature is aimed at an appropriate feeling or moment in time; the wish to focus, daydream, to read, think or reflect on life.
Pavel’s passion for music began at an early age. With his boyish voice he won several local youth singing competitions. As a teenager, he went on to study classical guitar for more than a decade. After that, when his first love came and went, Pavel drifted into folk songs.
After graduating from technical university, he began to travel a lot thanks to his on-line work and fell in love with Asia, where he spent several months. After returning from his travels, he decided to study piano, composition and jazz in Ostrava with teachers like the classical pianist Ludmila Benešová, jazz pianist MUDr. Milan Vilče, composer Mgr. Edvard Schiffauer, among many illustrious others. Also, Pavel began to become greatly influenced by the style and modern approach of Darina Žurková.
In the following years he also visited India and met the master Deobrat Mishra, where Pavel began to learn Classical Indian Sitar music. He is currently delving into Raga, an improvisational musical form.
His main inspirations include Eastern, Indian and Balinese music, classical and neo-classical music and jazz. He has been significantly influenced by minimalism and film soundtrack.
In recent years, Pavel has composed several dozen piano miniatures, which he gradually intends to publish. His future horizons include that of fusion world music and orchestral music.
